Propeller shaft repair, straightening & alignment
One of our specialties is reconditioning of damaged shafts and we are approved by the classification societies to carry out cold straightening of propeller shafts.
For the benefit of our customers, we hold a significant stock of raw material approved by the classification societies.
Our qualifications within shafts:
- Heat treatment
- Thermal arc spray
- Line boring of bushings and stern tubes
- Straightening up Ø280 with a force of 1,000 tons
- Length without limit
- Straightening of shafts according to class requirements or better than 5/100 mm.
- Crack test before and after straightening
- Repair or new casting of white metal bearings
- Bonding and repair of shafts seals
- Manufacturing of new shafts
