Navigate Global Sales – Become Our Sales Manager!

Do you thrive on creating results and building strong customer relationships – from first contact to long-term partnerships? At VMS Group, we are currently looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to join our head office in Frederikshavn. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys proactive sales and wants to play a key role in our international growth journey.

VMS Group specializes in advanced repair and maintenance of diesel engines, turbochargers, gearboxes, propellers, and thrusters for the maritime industry, offshore sector, power plants, and the wind energy industry.

About the Position

Your primary responsibility will be to identify new customers and global business opportunities while nurturing and developing relationships with existing clients. You will manage your own customer portfolio. As Sales Manager, you can expect approximately 60–80 travel days per year, which you will coordinate in dialogue with customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactive sales with a focus on identifying and creating new business opportunities
  • Preparing quotations and participating in contract negotiations
  • Conducting market and customer analyses to identify new opportunities
  • Participating in international exhibitions and marketing activities
  • Working closely with our marketing and service departments to ensure effective implementation of sales strategies.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proactive and relationship-oriented colleague who can identify customer needs and create value through trust-based relationships and technical dialogue.

Ideally, our new colleague will have:

  • Proven experience in technical sales within an international context (preferred but not required)
  • A solid technical background (maritime or mechanical), e.g. with diesel engines, gearboxes, or propellers
  • A natural flair for proactive sales and the ability to independently manage the sales process from first contact to contract signature
  • Willingness to travel as part of the job
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work with clients across different backgrounds
  • Fluency in English – both written and spoken – at a professional negotiation level.
