Industrial Technician Apprentice

Are you a creative, technically minded individual who enjoys working with your hands and putting your technical talent to use? Do you thrive when completing a well-executed and thoroughly prepared task in collaboration with others? If this sounds like you, then VMS Group is definitely the place for you to start your apprenticeship as an Industrial Technician, beginning in January 2026!

At VMS Group, we work with the repair and maintenance of marine engines, gears, propellers, and other equipment for the maritime industry, offshore sector, and wind turbine industry. We strive to deliver world-class service, ensuring that our customers are satisfied—not just once, but every time we complete a task. Our headquarters are located in Frederikshavn, but we consider the entire world our workplace and do not let geographic borders hold us back.

What can you expect from your everyday work with us?

As an Industrial Technician Apprentice, you will gain experience producing a wide variety of components for the maritime industry—you will rarely work on the same item twice.
Your daily work will mainly take place in our workshop at the harbour in Frederikshavn, but you will also have the opportunity to join projects both in Denmark and abroad together with your colleagues.

You will gain experience in:

  • CNC turning and milling of components for engines, gears, and propellers
  • Repairing and adapting existing parts
  • Setting up, commissioning, and optimising programs and machining processes
  • Quality control and documentation to ensure we deliver at the level our customers expect
  • 3D modelling as well as CAD/CAM
  • On-site machining

Who are you?

We imagine that you:

  • Have completed the basic course for Industrial Technicians or another relevant education – or perhaps you are already in training and eager to try something new
  • Work in a structured manner, have an eye for detail, and take responsibility for the quality of your work
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where teamwork is key
  • Are curious about new methods, tools, and solutions

What We Offer

You will become part of a larger team (the entire VMS Group), consisting of several nationalities. Together, we work to get ships back at sea or other machinery back in operation. Community and team spirit are important values to us. We strive to take good care of our employees and are always willing to go the extra mile for them.

We can promise you an apprenticeship with room for ambition, initiative, and genuine pride in craftsmanship – and where you will have the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.
