Head of Sales based in Namibia

VMS Group is seeking a visionary and proactive Head of Sales for our subsidiary in Namibia, who will lead the development and execution of our growth strategy in Africa.
About VMS Group
VMS Group is a global service partner specializing in advanced repair and maintenance of diesel engines, turbochargers, gearboxes, propellers, and thrusters. We serve the maritime industry, offshore sector, power plants, and the wind energy sector. The Role
As Head of Sales, you will play a central and strategic role in our African operations. You will be responsible for defining the regional sales strategy, leading commercial initiatives, and driving business development.
The position requires local presence in the region. With strong market insight and a customer-focused approach, you will establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients.
You will plan your efforts and approximately 60–80 annual travel days in close dialogue with customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the sales strategy in Africa in close cooperation with management
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and strategic partnerships
- Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts at executive level
- Conduct market analysis and monitor industry trends
- Participate in international trade shows and represent VMS Group to key stakeholders
- Ensure close collaboration with internal departments to support growth and customer satisfaction
About You
You are commercially sharp and naturally able to think both strategically and operationally. You build trust and add value in customer dialogue, and you are capable of managing complex sales processes in an international setting.
We imagine you have:
- Solid experience in technical B2B sales, preferably in a leadership role
- Knowledge of or interest in the African market (not a requirement)
- A technical background in e.g., diesel engines, gearboxes, or propellers
- A willingness to travel and work in a culturally diverse environment
- Fluent written and spoken English skills
