At VMS Group, we are currently looking for an electrician apprentice with an interest in the maritime electrical industry. The apprenticeship begins in January 2026, and you will become part of a strong and specialized team in an international company based in Frederikshavn.

What Can You Expect from Your Everyday Work?

At VMS Group A/S, apprentices are an investment in the future. During your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to gain experience with:

• Alarm, monitoring, and propulsion systems on diesel engines, gearboxes, and propellers
• Operation and maintenance at our four locations in Frederikshavn, where we handle our own electrical installations
• Installation work for our diesel engine production
• Electrical panel assembly to improve energy performance of vessel systems
• Troubleshooting ship systems

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is currently enrolled in the basic electrical training programme (whether you plan to pursue Electrician 1 or Electrician 2 does not matter—we welcome both paths). In addition, we value that you:

• Have the motivation and willingness to learn
• Possess strong teamwork skills and understand the importance of customer focus
• Take responsibility and can work both independently and in teams
• Thrive with change and a sometimes fast-paced environment
• Arrive on time and meet the day with a smile and a positive attitude

Apprenticeship Programme

An apprenticeship at VMS Group requires the following module selections in the electrician education:

• Automatic systems on machinery – Level 1
• Electrical installations on ships and offshore 1 – Level 1
• Control and regulation of automatic systems – Level 2
• Electrical installations on ships and offshore 2 – Level 2
• Technical contract and project management – Level 3

We sign a contract for your entire apprenticeship period, allowing you to focus on becoming a skilled electrician.
